The view of my shelves in this new apartment, lined up like awkward wallflowers at a party, unsure what to say. They were the first to arrive and don’t have all that much in common. One is all poetry and nonfiction and whiskey, another exists solely for fiction, and the middle one? That fat middle shelf likes the hefty spines.
